Materials and Tools Needed

No matter what project you are on,  you have to collect all the equipment beforehand.  This will make the work process simpler and easier. So for installing floating shelves you will need the following equipment

• Wood Glue

Step 1: Set the Location

It is critical to plan the placement of your shelves. You do realize you need to prepare the area where you’ll install your shelf, don’t you? So, before you install the anchors and plugs, decide where you’re going to put your shelf.

Step 2: Take the Measurements

The first thing you must decide is how many shelves you require or desire. This is primarily determined by the amount of vertical space available. According to the measure you have to purchase the wood. The space where we installed the shelves in our bathroom extended all the way from the floor to the ceiling. Step 4: Sand the board

Standing is essential for all types of wood. Sanding makes the board more smooth and provides a Shiny finish. You can dye the open shelves after they’ve been installed. Then wiped the stain off with a clean rag. The boards were then totally dry before sanding with a fine sanding block. Then I added a satin polyurethane coat.

Step 5: Cut the woods

Step 6: Attach the stripes

Separate the protective layer from one of the tapes, then apply the newly exposed adhesive to the shelf mounting spot and press the sticky strips together for approximately 30 seconds. Repeat the procedure with the remaining films.

Spread the strips equally to ensure that your shelf hangs as well as possible. To hold the shelf to the wall without using screws, attach the strips on the wood planks with staples.

Step 7: Attach the board

After fixing the adhesive tapes, peel out all of the leftover linings from the tape and position the shelf against the wall. Then, for about 30 seconds, press the shelf against the wall to secure it in place. Tape the two sides and the shelf with duct tape and hang them at an angle if possible. It will strengthen the shelf. To lift the shelf away from the wall, slowly and carefully pull the shelf’s edges away from the wall. Divide each pair of pieces so that one side adheres to the shelf and the other to the wall. Allow about an hour for the tape to solidify. Then, using sticky tape, replace the shelf.
